Twenty years ago, it was something you wanted to avoid and were terrified of, and there wasn't the treatments that are available now. There isn't the fear around it that there used to be." And the list goes on ........ its a sad fact that HIV is on the rise and we have to do everything we can to educate our young people, our sons and daughters of the dangers of contracting HIV and how to look after themselves and their partners.
And whilst we need to step up the education we also need to help those men women and children who have contracted the disease to be able have decent quality of life while they deal with both the mental and physical effects of HIV. PWA does just that.
