Torches, Zyploc Sacks, insect repellent, anti-itch cream, the infamous bio-degradable soap, plastic cutlery, paper plates, towels, sheets, pillows etc. and I was lying in bed thinking how much easier it would be if things could pack themselves. On the spur of the moment, as a way to amuse you all, I decided to do a little thank you video animation of all the stuff packing itself. With the help of Brian, Renzo & Edson on Saturday we came up with this ...... ( here is a low res version for those of you that missed it ).
It was so much fun to do ... Brian even started putting voices on the toilet rolls as they chased the tissues round the room and the same time calling me insane for thinking up the whole idea. Pots and kettles ......
Edson got his 2 years visitors Visa and will be arriving on Wednesday night to prepare and film the Rally. I believe he has an open topped car and driver at his disposal so he will be in his element. I am looking forward to sharing next week with him.
Harvey and I ( among others ) have been asked to do a live TV segment on TV on Monday morning. This should be a lot of fun and I am very honoured to be asked.
Its been a tough 3 months training but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I love the chunky legs and shapely ass (as they say in Canadia Land ) that have appeared, the friendships which have been forged but most of all the return of the sense of fun that that I seem to have lost over the years.
Years ago I asked my mother what I was like as a child and she replied "You were born miserable and never changed". Thanks Mommy Dearest.
If I am not ready now I never will be ........ bring it on .............

p.s. A little acknowledgment to my Grandma and Granddad who got me a half-set of golf clubs they could ill afford when I was 13. On Sunday I played on a golf course for the first time and despite low expectations was whacking the ball 220+ yards. Jim commented that I could be very good if I continued playing. Thanks Dick and Ali - it wasn't a waste of money after all - see you again someday xx Thank you Jim, Jim and Harvey.
